To celebrate Mother’s Day, I hosted my second annual Motherhood Mini Sessions at my photography studio in Somerset, WI.

This year’s Motherhood Mini Sessions were such an amazing success! These minis are always such a special time to celebrate so many wonderful mamas and capture precious moments of motherhood. Keep reading for a full recap and sneak peek!

Recap of Motherhood Minis

When designing my setup for Motherhood Minis each year, I’m always pretty intentional about the vibe of the space. I want all the moms coming in for their session to feel so beautiful, appreciated, and pampered! This is their day after all!

This year I hosed my Motherhood Minis at my brand NEW studio in Somerset, and I really focused on keeping the vibe of the setup light, minimal, and cozy. And of course we had to go all out with a beautiful floral backdrop designed by Northern Poppy Flower Co. They seriously knocked it out of the park with these arrangements….I mean how stunning is this color scheme?! If you’re local to the Twin Cities or Western Wisconsin area, I can’t recommend them enough for all your floral needs.

I added a special touch this year…

I decided to add a little extra special something to Motherhood Minis this year: build-your-own bouquets (courtesy of Northern Poppy Flower Co. of course) and free coffee from Wheelhouse Coffee (aka my FAVORITE local spot)!

This was such a fun little treat to have for all the moms and it really added to make this an even sweeter experience for them! (I mean, what mom doesn’t love pretty flowers and yummy coffee??) Plus I loved having something fun that they could take home with them after their session to enjoy while they wait for their photos to be delivered!

This year’s Motherhood Mini Sessions were filled with so many sweet and fun moments. Some of my personal favorite highlights included moms obsessing over seeing their kids in the back of my camera, quiet moments with soon-to-be mamas, and several instances of wild and crazy kids running around and almost knocking over the flowers. 😂 All in all it was such a joyful and laughter-filled time!!
