Time is FLYING by. Can you believe we are already at the end of 2025? Another year of holiday mini sessions in the books and somehow it just keeps getting better every year. I’m feeling extra thankful for another wildly successful busy season. I ended with over 40 holiday minis booked this year!! And while I am still very much recovering from the trauma of editing approximately 2,000 photos at lightning speed to be ready in time for holiday cards, I’m so grateful for how you all showed up for so many fun and magical holiday sessions together.

Why Holiday Mini Sessions Are My Favorite
One of my favorite parts of holiday minis is getting to see so many of my returning families. It brings me so much joy whenever families come back year after year for updated photos. I absolutely love following along with your families over the years. New babies. New dogs. Kids who grew six inches since last December. Life updates that make me want to hug you and cheer you on. Getting to celebrate those moments with you and capture your growing and changing family is truly the best part of my job.
You Need Those Annual Family Photos (Trust Me)
Kids grow so dang fast. Like… shockingly fast. One minute they’re toddlers taking their first steps, and the next they’re tweens asking you to drop them off a block away from school. That’s why getting annual family photos is so important. And holiday minis are the perfect time. You get updated photos of the fam just in time for Christmas cards and for gifting to the grandparents. Plus you’ll have plenty of photos to look back through for your own “when did they get this big?!” spiral in approximately eleven months. Trust me, future you will be very grateful you booked that holiday mini session.
A Sneak Peek at Next Year’s Holiday Mini Sessions (Yes… I’m Already Planning)
You can bet I’ll be back again next year with another opportunity for you to get those updated holiday photos of you and your family! I always love having these two different types of seasonal minis for you to choose from each year:
- Tree Farm Mini Sessions — The perfect option if you love an outdoor session and a pretty evergreen backdrop. Plus your kids will have plenty of space to run around and be their wild, chaotic selves.
- Studio Holiday Mini Sessions — Cute, cozy, temperature controlled (aka no surprise sleet pelting us sideways) at my studio in Somerset, Wisconsin. Complete with a beautiful festive backdrop!
I open up spots for holiday minis early (like August kind of early) and they book out FAST. So remember to plan ahead and keep your eye out for the details when I release dates for 2026 holiday minis!
